Custom-made orthotics are a medical device (similar looking to an insole) that can be discreetly inserted into shoes to support, align, prevent and/or accommodate foot/gait imbalances and abnormalities.
They are often covered by extended health insurance plans, but most plans will require a prescription from a general practitioner. Individual plans will vary, so we recommend you check your coverage.
After a thorough foot and gait examination, Dr. Yiu will guide your feet into the casting foam to take an impression.
Your cast, measurements, and prescription details will be sent to the orthotics lab for manufacturing. In a few weeks, you will receive your custom-made orthotics!

You will require one appointment only for the custom orthotics assessment and fitting. When your custom-made orthotics have been manufactured, our clinic will contact you to arrange pick up. There is no charge and no appointment required for the custom orthotics pick up.
