Cathy Lau, R.Ac.

Cathy is a registered acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with the CTCMPAO, having graduated from the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

She brings extensive experience in diagnostic medical sonography from a well-known tertiary care teaching hospital in downtown Toronto, where she worked across general, cardiac, and vascular sonography. Before her sonography career, she also worked as a medical radiation technologist (X-ray technologist), giving her a well-rounded foundation in anatomy and complex pathology built through years of hands-on hospital experience.

Today, she continues to practice sonography with a focus on musculoskeletal injury — a specialty that complements her acupuncture work in a chiropractic clinic particularly well. Cathy is a strong believer that Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture serve as valuable, supportive approaches to health amid today’s demanding, fast-paced lifestyles, and that they can benefit everyone’s overall well-being. In her leisure time, she likes to explore different recipes of nutritious Chinese soups made with whole food and herbs.

She is fluent in English and Cantonese, and warmly welcomes patients from the diverse communities of North York and the greater Toronto area.
